Rural Journalism  
Empowerment of Rural Media
NMDC is established for the empowerment of rural media in Nepal. Its 95 percent activities are carried in the remotest regions and districts.
 Basic Journalism Course Training is our one of the major activities. This rural journalism focused training is conducted in the remotest districts of Nepal, where it is really needed. The rural media just established lack resources and skill manpower.
 
 In such a situation, we coordinate and guide them for resources and provide them five day Basic Journalism training. 
 
We have provided first five day residential basic journalism trainings in: Dadeldhura, Pyuthan, Rukum, Parbat, Myagdi, Udayapur, Rolpa and Nuwakot.
 
Till August 2010 we have provided training to 231 journalists including 84 women.
