Organization, Resources and Sustainability scheme : :

NMDC is membership driven non-profit voluntary social organization devoted for the empowerment of provincial media in Nepal and other developing countries. It has a 9 member Board of Directors and in every two years General Assembly will be held and new Board of Directors elected. The General Assembly is the final authority of the NMDC. The Board of Directors has the rights to design organization's policies and hiring experts and regular staff.

It is the only organization that highly values and provides membership to local journalists, local media houses, and local media organizations. There are five categories of membership, they are:

General member,

Founder member,

Life member,

Honorary member and

Institutional member.

The Board of Directors may provide honorary membership to foreign nationals as well. The fees for the membership vary according to membership category. The entrance fee of general members Rs. 1000 and renewal fee Rs. 500, similarly Rs. 25000 for life members (not necessary to renew), and Rs. 5000 for entrance and renewal fee Rs. 1000 for institutional members.

General and special membership fees, institutional fee, program fee, local and international financial and technical support will be the major resources of the organization and its sustainability. From the beginning, it has developed sustainability scheme of the organization to avoid disturbances at the middle of the program.
